South America has an amazing variety of landscapes – from the majestic Andes to the world’s largest tropical rainforest, from Patagonian ice fields to the dazzling salt flats in Bolivia and the wetlands of the Pantanal in Brazil. This is my favourite part of the world – I’ve visited most countries at least once – and every time I leave, I’m planning when I can return.
