WHERE TO TRAVEL IN 2025.

All the big-gun travel brands have published their recommendations for destinations to visit in 2025.  And I just thought I’d throw my hat into the ring with 5 suggestions for places to consider for epic trips next year.

Argentina. This amazing country has so much to offer the curious traveller – spectacular, contrasting landscapes, vibrant cities and fabulous food. It’s my favourite country, and every time I leave, I’m planning when I can return. There's far too much to see in one trip - but with good internal flights, it's possible to get around quite easily to experience a few of the country’s highlights in a 2 or 3 week trip.

The Seychelles. If you’ve done it, been there with Indian Ocean destinations like the Maldives, Mauritius and Zanzibar, you really should consider the beautiful Seychelles. You’ll find the same beautiful beaches and turquoise waters but with dramatic scenery -  lush hills, palm trees and Dali-esque boulders. And I’d recommend a holiday that combines time on two or three different islands – all of which will have a different ambiance.

Namibia. Few countries in Africa can match Namibia's sheer natural beauty. And this country ticks so many dfferent boxes. There's the wonderfully varied scenery such as the dunes of Sossusvelei, the rocky landscape of Damaraland and the Skeleton Coast. There are the ancient cave drawings at Twyfelfontein. And last (but definitely not least) Namibia is one of Southern Africa's best places to watch wildlife.

Oman. A visit to Oman is to experience authentic Arabian Culture. Perhaps the Middle East’s best-kept secret, this country combines unspoiled desert landscapes with beautiful beaches and spectacular mountain scenery as well as traditional villages. Modern Muscat is a great place to spend a few days, where there are beautiful white sand beaches overlooking the Gulf. And outside the capital, there are ancient tombs, impressive forts and hidden wadis in the Jebel Akhdar Mountains.

Sri Lanka. If you’re looking for a holiday with variety, Sri Lanka has it all. Endless white sand beaches, 8 UNESCO world heritage sites, welcoming people, national parks with elephants, leopards, crocodiles and sloth bears, the spectacular landscapes of tea country all capped off with utterly delicious food. And with distances quite short, it’s possible to see quite a bit of the island on a 2-week trip without rushing around.
