BELIZE
A holiday to this beautiful pint-size country in Central America is unique. It’s English speaking and you’ll find a cocktail of Creole, British colonial, indigenous Mayan, Mennonite and Spanish cultures. It’s a small country, so it’s easy to sample its attractions in a short space of time.
The Coast
Belize's coast is distinctly Caribbean with white sand beaches and coral atolls, swaying palm trees, turquoise seas, laid back people, pulsating reggae rhythms and rum punch.
Belize's Interior
Inland there are forested highlands and verdant jungle around Chaa Creek. Wildlife is plentiful, with hundreds of species of birds and even jaguars inhabiting the woodland.
Barrier Reef
Belize has the world’s second largest barrier reef, so it’s a paradise for divers and snorkellers. And the world-famous Great Blue Hole on its own is reason enough to visit this lovely country.
Archaeological Sites
To top it all, there are numerous fascinating Mayan archaeological sites such as Xunantunich and Lamanai, formerly concealed in dense jungle.
